The Mediplus network continues to grow, and this time, our expansion takes us beyond our borders.
We are delighted to announce a new partnership agreement with Intercare Mbombela, located at the Matumi Retail Centre in South Africa. This agreement ensures that Mediplus members have access to high-quality medical and dental care whenever they are travelling or staying in the South African Lowveld region.
Intercare Mbombela offers a comprehensive dental centre, headed by Dr Lohan Steyn. Services include routine check-ups, fillings, orthodontics, aligners and cosmetic dentistry – all under one roof, in a welcoming, family-oriented environment.
The centre is open from Monday to Saturday and accepts Mediplus cover under this new agreement.
For general medical consultations, Intercare Mbombela has an experienced team of doctors: Dr Zelda Retief, Dr Ingrid Siebrits, Dr Andries de Man and Dr Anne-Marie van Zyl. Together, they offer personalised care at every stage of life – from routine check-ups and acute illnesses to the management of chronic conditions, women’s health, children’s health, preventive check-ups and travel health advice.
The clinic is open seven days a week, accepts walk-in patients, and does not charge emergency fees for medical consultations after 5 pm on weekdays or throughout Saturday. For those who travel frequently between Mozambique and South Africa, this flexible access offers a real and immediate benefit.
There is also a dedicated Travel Clinic, available to members preparing for regional or international travel.
This agreement reinforces Mediplus’s commitment to ensuring that its members’ cover does not stop at national borders. Whether you are in central, northern or southern Mozambique, or crossing the border into South Africa’s Lowveld, your healthcare cover follows you.
