Fraud has an impact on the Scheme, the member and the service provider. It has financial implications resulting in higher premiums and less benefits. It is to everybody’s benefit to report fraud if you are aware of any malpractices by either members, employees or service providers. You can report fraud anonymously and rest assured that we will treat all information confidentially. To enable the Scheme to do a proper investigation you are requested to provide us with as much information as possible.
Fraudulent activities such as members allowing non registered dependents to receive medical services on their membership cards, to accept bribes from providers for services not actually rendered, to give misleading or withhold information on application forms, providers claiming for services not actually rendered, or providers paying bribes to Scheme members in order to submit fraudulent claims, etc.
